The Bonnaroo 2019 lineup has been announced and is filled to the brim with starpower. Leading the festival’s billing this year is Phish, Cardi B, Childish Gambino and Post Malone. Dozens of other artists spanning all genres are also confirmed in the lineup.
This year’s festivities will kick off Thursday, June 13 at the Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tennessee. The opening night will place a focus on country music with a headlining Grand Ole Opry performance filled with special guests to be announced. Perhaps among the group of Opry elite are Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris and John Prine – all of whom will also take the stage on Saturday, June 15.
Friday’s schedule is led by Childish Gambino, who also notched a headlining gig at Coachella. Phish will follow in a late-night set, with Griz, Solange, The Avett Brothers, Brockhampton and more also scheduled that day. Rapper Post Malone tops Saturday’s lineup which also features Hozier, The Lonely Island and Odesza.
Closing out the four-day festival on Sunday is not one but two headlining sets from Phish. 2019 marks the legendary rockers third Bonnaroo appearance. They previously played the festival in 2009 and 2012, while frontman Trey Anastasio also appeared three times as a solo act. The Lumineers, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile and Walk the Moon are also slated to perform the final day.
Now in its 18th year, the annual gathering has booked some of music’s biggest acts over the years. Artists from Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder to Jay-Z and Pearl Jam have all graced the stage. Despite its remote location, Bonnaroo continues to grow in size and popularity. Attendance has been upwards of 100,000 before, with this year’s installment expected to draw in especially large crowds.
