Backstreet Boys Announce Dates for DNA World Tour

Backstreet’s back, alright! The Backstreet Boys are ready for a big year in 2019 with their new album DNA set to drop in January and a massive DNA World Tour hitting arenas next summer, promoter Live Nation announced today.

The tour will begin with a run of European and U.K. gigs, kicking off in Lisbon on May 11. They’ll hit over two dozen cities overseas before launching the North American leg in Washington, DC on July 12. From there, they will invade markets like Atlanta, Los Angeles, Denver, Boston, Orlando and Milwaukee. Canadian stops along the tour include Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Montreal.

A total of 43 cities make up the North American itinerary, making the DNA World Tour BSB’s biggest arena outing since 2001’s Black & Blue Tour.

The massive trek comes in support of the group’s forthcoming album DNA, due out January 25. It is the band’s tenth LP and first studio effort since 2013’s In a World Like This. In announcing the record and tour, Backstreet Boys also released DNA‘s lead single, the Shawn Mendes and Ryan Tedder-penned “Chances.” Check out the track below.

Until the DNA World Tour commences, fans can currently catch the guys in Las Vegas during one of the final shows of their Larger Than Life residency, which will fold on April 27 after 80 performances at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater. Although Larger Than Life proved that BSB was in it for the long haul, having been the one of the highest-attended residencies in Vegas, the guys insist that the best is yet to come.

“Vegas has been amazing and these next set of dates are going to be a party,” member Howie Dorrough said in a statement.

Bandmate Brian Littrell echoed that sentiment while expressing excitement over the new album and tour. “The jouney is ongoing with us and there is so much left to do. We’re living the next chapter that hasn’t been told yet, and that’s exciting.”
