Niall Horan Announces 2020 North American Tour

Niall Horan will be saying “nice to meet ya” to plenty of fans on tour next year. The former One Direction singer announced plans for his second solo tour, which will invade North American cities beginning in April.

Horan’s Nice to Meet Ya Tour will launch April 20 in Nashville. It will bring the Irish musician to 16 additional cities, including Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta and San Jose. The month-long excursion marks Horan’s first arena outing as a solo artist. His previous headlining tour traveled to amphitheaters while he was a regular stadium headliner with One Direction. Special guests Lewis Capaldi and Fletcher will be joining in support.

“This is so exciting,” the 26-year-old star shared on social media. “I’m going back on the road and this time I’m going with my best friend in the whole wide world @LewisCapaldi and the beautiful @findingfletcher. Can’t wait to get out there again and see you all.”

The tour gets its name from Horan’s latest single and first off his forthcoming second album. There is no word yet on an official record name or release date, though Horan has been teasing new music for some time and told fans to “get ready” for the record just hours before releasing tour dates. He scored mainstream solo success with his 2017 debut album Flicker, which topped charts both in the US and Horan’s native Ireland.

The “Slow Hands” singer and his 1D bandmates are all actively continuing to build their own solo careers. Horan’s tour news comes just days after Louis Tomlinson announced his first world tour. Meanwhile, Liam Payne and Harry Styles are prepping for their debut and sophomore album releases, respectively.
