Dead and Company, The Who, Stevie Nicks and Lizzo are all headed to New Orleans. The city’s Jazz Fest 2020 lineup was officially unveiled with a full slate of music superstars on tap.
The annual festival – which runs April 23 through May 3 – will also welcome Maggie Rogers, Brandi Carlile, The Lumineers, Foo Fighters, John Prine, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Norah Jones and Wu-Tang Clan, among dozens of others.
Per usual, the event will gather a myriad of rock and legacy acts to headline each day. Kicking things off on Thursday, April 23 are the Beach Boys, while Lenny Kravitz, The Who and Foo Fighters headline the following nights of Weekend 1. The newly-reunited Black Crowes, Lionel Richie, Dead and Company and Stevie Nicks will round out the second weekend lineup.
Nicks’ performance in particular is expected to garner plenty of excitement. The singer was supposed to appear at last year’s 50th anniversary festival when Fleetwood Mac got called up to replace original headliner The Rolling Stones. However, Fleetwood Mac was also unable to commit with Nicks citing an illness. They were replaced by Widespread Panic at the last minute to cap a year plagued by scheduling snafus.
In addition to the stacked musical lineup, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest boasts a rich offering of food, craft work and sights – all of which honor the city’s famed culture.
