Nas, Mary J. Blige Team Up For Co-Headlining Tour

Nas and Mary J. Blige are finally bringing their longtime collaborative work to the stage on a co-headlining North American tour. The pair will set off on a 22-city run this summer for their first joint tour together.

They’ll launch the trek July 11 in West Palm Beach and hit nearly two dozen markets over a two-month span. The itinerary includes stops in Houston, Atlantic City, Phoenix and San Francisco – plus a two-night stint in Las Vegas – before wrapping with a lone Canadian gig in Toronto on September 10.

In addition to their joint gigs, the pair have also booked a number of festival appearances throughout the coming months. Nas is slated to perform at New York’s Governors Ball in June and appear alongside Blige at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans days before launching the tour. Blige’s solo schedule includes a July 27 appearance at the Cincinnati Music Festival and a post-tour gig in Highland Park, Illinois.

Nas and Mary J. Blige’s friendship and creative partnership stems back more than 20 years. They first teamed up in 1997 on Blige’s Top 10 hit “Love Is All We Need.” In the decades since, they’ve returned to the studio on two more occasions, most recently in 2011 on Blige’s My Life II…The Journey Continues deep cut “Feel Inside.”

Both artists continue to be forces within the R&B and hip-hop music sectors with their latest endeavors. Nas landed at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart last year for his twelfth album Nasir. Blige is rumored to be prepping for release of her fourteenth studio album and follow-up to 2017’s Strength of a Woman.
