Road warriors Dave Matthews Band are back for another round of performances. They have officially announced dates for an extensive tour kicking off this summer.
The tour gets underway June 16 in Uncasville, Connecticut and will extend three months before wrapping in Southaven, Mississippi in late September. Along the way, the Grammy winners will visit markets like Cincinnati, Syracuse, Atlanta and Albuquerque, plus a Canadian stop in Vancouver. Several cities will welcome DMB for two nights on the 39-date tour, including Chicago and West Palm Beach. They are also booked once again for their annual Labor Day weekend takeover of Washington’s Gorge Amphitheater.
This year’s tour comes with a new green initiative from the band, who have partnered with The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign. They have pledged to help plant one million trees and invite fans to contribute to the forest restoration by donating $2 per ticket. This effort couples with DMB’s longstanding measures to control their carbon footprint while on the road.
Before launching their latest trek, Dave Matthews Band has a handful of performances scheduled. They are booked for a Las Vegas gig next month and were previously announced as a headliner at Arizona’s Innings Festival and Napa’s BottleRock Festival.
