Counting Crows to Celebrate 25th Anniversary with Summer Tour

It’s officially 25 years and counting for the Counting Crows. The influential rock band will embark on a massive anniversary tour this summer to mark a quarter of a century in the music industry, Live Nation announced today.

An impressive 48 shows are lined up for the trek, which runs from June through September. The band will make stops in major markets across the U.S., including Atlanta, Cleveland, Boston, Houston, Las Vegas and more. They are slated to bring the 25 Years and Counting Tour to Toronto for the jaunt’s lone Canadian gig. Platinum-selling alt-rock group +LIVE+ will join in support.

In addition to playing top outdoor venues and arenas, Counting Crows are also poised to perform at various fairs and festivals this summer. They’ll headline the New York State Fair on August 25 and wrap up the whirlwind summer by performing at the Pilgrimage Music Festival a month later.

Throughout the past 25 years, Counting Crows have released seven studio albums, three of which achieved Platinum sales certification. They’ve earned fan-favorite radio hits like “Big Yellow Taxi,” “Accidentally In Love,” and their debut single “Mr. Jones.” While it’s unknown if another album is in the works – their latest LP Somewhere Under Wonderland was released four years ago – fans can rest assured that the band’s biggest and most beloved songs will be plentiful on the upcoming tour.

“The nice thing about having 25 years of music to celebrate and seven studio albums we absolutely love to choose from is that we can play a different show every night,” lead vocalist Adam Duritz said in a statement.
