Punk-rock titans Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer are uniting for a massive tour next year. The best-selling bands released dates for their Hella Mega tour after days of teasers and speculation.<\/p>\n

The trek will launch overseas March 8 and wrap its extensive Asian and European legs June 29. North American shows begin July 17 in Seattle and conclude six weeks later in Philadelphia. The bands will headline a mix of stadiums and ballparks on the tour, including stops at Fenway Park, Dodger Stadium, Globe Life Field, Hard Rock Stadium and Wrigley Field. A total of 44 cities make up the itinerary, 20 of which are on the North American leg.<\/p>\n

Fans first caught wind<\/a> of the stacked tour when Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong called out FOB’s Pete Wentz and Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo in an Instagram comment, writing “hella mega.” A password-protected tour website was swiftly uncovered by fans, as well as a briefly public Hella Mega Tour Instagram account. That account featured a clip of Armstrong singing<\/a> “Wake Me Up When September Ends” with the altered lyric “wake me up on September 10,” all while donning a shirt featuring the co-headliners’ logos.<\/p>\n

The trek’s anticipated announcement was also accompanied by new music from all three groups. Green Day dropped the title track off their upcoming album Father of All…<\/em>, which is due out February 7, while Weezer released lead single “The End of the Game” from their upcoming record Van Weezer<\/em>. Fall Out Boy will soon release their album Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two<\/em> and dropped their Wyclef Jean collaboration “Dear Future Self (Hands Up)” to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n

Green Day’s last tour came in 2016 while Fall Out Boy hit the road in 2017 on their MANIA Tour<\/a> and Weezer teamed up with Pixies for a co-headlining trek<\/a> last summer.<\/p>\n
