The third time’s the charm for Charli XCX. She will release her third album (and first in five years) this fall and embark on an extensive world tour in support. <\/p>\n
The North American leg of her trek will kick off in Atlanta on September 20. She’ll make stops in 20 more markets – including Phoenix, Toronto, Oakland and Minneapolis – before wrapping in New York on October 22. From there, the singer will head overseas for a 20-date European leg. She has recruited a slew of artists to join her in support. Tommy Genesis, Dorian Electra, Brooke Candy and Allie X will rotate as openers for the North American leg, each playing select shows. Charli XCX will also precede the tour with several festival appearances throughout Europe and the U.S., including Chicago’s Pitchfork Festival<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n The jaunt comes in support of the singer’s third full-length album, Charli<\/em>, due out September 13. Despite releasing multiple mixtapes and collaborative singles in recent years, she has not put out a full LP since 2014’s Sucker<\/em>. She has described the new effort as her most personal project to date.<\/p>\n “My album is beautiful & soft & aggressive & emotional & clubby & tender all at once,” she shared<\/a> on Twitter. “I’ve really put all of ME into this. Every aspect of my personality, truth about romantic relationships, working relationships, friends. It’s honest & raw & I can’t wait for you to hear it.”<\/p>\n Fans will get a heavy dose of star power on the 15-track LP, which will feature collaborations with HAIM, Troye Sivan, Clairo and more.
