With Mick Jagger recovering from a heart procedure that forced the Rolling Stones to postpone their No Filter Tour, the band is now ready to hit the road. On Thursday, the full batch of Rolling Stones rescheduled tour dates were announced, all of which will honor tickets for original shows. <\/p>\n
The tour will officially kick off June 21 in Chicago with two shows at Soldier Field and wrap August 31 in Miami, which was originally set to be the opening show of the tour. In addition to the 17 make-up dates, the Stones also added a show to the itinerary. They’ll invade New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome on July 14, likely to make up for their backing out of headlining the New Orleans Jazz Fest<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n Initially, the No Filter tour was set to launch<\/a> in late April and extend through June. Just weeks before the start date, however, the band abruptly postponed all shows due to Jagger’s health. He underwent heart surgery shortly after the unfortunate announcement.<\/p>\n “I really hate letting you down like this,” Jagger said at the time in a statement. “I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can.”<\/p>\n As it turns out, the famed frontman only needed six weeks of recovery to get back on his feet and ready to perform.
