Ray LaMontagne has bared his soul on stage for several years as part of his ongoing Just Passing Through acoustic tour. This fall, he’ll do so again, having announced a run of 30 new dates. <\/p>\n

The singer-songwriter will kick off the trek in Providence October 11 and remain on the road for six weeks before closing with a two-night stint at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on November 22-23. Along the way, LaMontagne will visit Baltimore, Philadelphia, Spokane and Houston, among others. Select cities will see back-to-back nights, including Chicago, Nashville, Kansas City, Denver and Seattle. He’ll be joined onstage by guitarist Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket, with folk duo Kacy & Clayton pegged to open each show.<\/p>\n

LaMontagne will continue to support his seventh studio album Part of the Light<\/em>, which was released last spring. The effort gave the 45-year-old yet another rock hit with “Such a Simple Thing,” though fans can surely expect to hear his earlier tracks like “Trouble,” “Beg, Steal or Borrow” and “You Are the Best Thing” at his upcoming shows.<\/p>\n

The singer first launched the Just Passing Through Tour in 2017 after a five-year hiatus from touring. He’s steadily performed some two dozen shows to extend the tour each year since. On the previous two outings, LaMontagne was joined by Wilco bassist John Stirratt.<\/p>\n
