Thomas Rhett is ready to heat things up! The country star will spend next summer on the road as part of his aptly named Very Hot Summer Tour, he announced<\/a> today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The trek will kick off May 17 in Spokane, Washington and run for five months before wrapping with a hometown show in Nashville on October 12. A total of 39 cities are on the itinerary, including Chicago, New York, Dallas, Orlando, Raleigh and St. Paul. A July 11 gig in Toronto marks the lone Canadian gig scheduled. Dustin Lynch and Russell Dickerson are joining the trek in support, along with Thomas Rhett’s famous father, country singer-songwriter Rhett Akins.<\/p>\n

In between select tour dates, Thomas Rhett is also set to perform at various music festivals, including the Carolina Country Music Fest<\/a> and Ohio’s The Country Fest<\/a>, among others.<\/p>\n

The Very Hot Summer Tour is the latest in a string of cross-country tours that have kept the 28-year-old singer busy for the past year. He recently finished his headlining Life Changes Tour<\/a>, which had two legs scheduled around his committment to\u00a0Kenny Chesney<\/a>‘s Trip Around the Sun Tour, for which he served as a supporting act.<\/p>\n

Thomas Rhett continues to support his personal, third studio album Life Changes<\/em>, which became his first No. 1 record and spawned subsequent No. 1 singles “Marry Me,” “Craving You,” “Unforgettable” and the title track. Although he has confirmed to be working on new music<\/a> in the recording studio, the success of Life Changes<\/em> continues to be coming in droves. The singer recently picked up a CMA Award for Music Video of the Year for “Marry Me,” and gave an energetic performance<\/a> of “Life Changes” at the annual show.<\/p>\n
