Acclaimed rapper J. Cole is gearing up to hit the road. He will embark on the 34-date KOD Tour later this fall, Live Nation announced today.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The trek will begin August 9 in Miami and will run for two months straight before wrapping up October 10 in Boston. Nearly three dozen cities are listed on the itinerary, including New Orleans, Houston, Chicago, Nashville, San Diego, Minneapolis, and Atlanta. In addition, a pair of Canadian gigs are also scheduled in Toronto and Montreal. Young Thug is joining the tour in support.<\/p>\n

The KOD Tour comes in support of J. Cole’s fifth studio album of the same name. It follows his 2016 Platinum-certified LP 4 Your Eyez Only<\/em>, which shot to the top of the Billboard Hot 200. The rapper subsequently made history when all ten of the album’s tracks landed in the Billboard Top 40 upon its debut. He faced a similar level of success upon KOD<\/em>‘s release last month. In its first week, the album garnered well over 300 million only streams, making J. Cole only the third artist in history to achieve such a feat. Lead single “KOD” also broke a streaming record when it earned 4.2 million streams in its opening day on Spotify, surpassing a previous record held by Taylor Swift for “Look What You Made Me Do.”<\/p>\n

Prior to the tour’s launch, J. Cole will appear at the annual Summerfest Music Festival in Milwaukee, along with other top artists like Halsey<\/a>, Imagine Dragons<\/a>, Logic<\/a>, Florida Georgia Line<\/a>, James Taylor<\/a>, Janelle Monae<\/a>, Blake Shelton<\/a> and many more. He will then travel overseas to participate in a trio of European festivals and return to the U.S. to appear at Seattle’s Bumbershoot festival. Another major festival J. Cole is sure to be found at? His own. He recently revealed plans to launch the Dreamville Festival<\/a>, named for the music label he founded, in his home state of North Carolina. A lineup is yet to be announced for the September 15 fest, set to take place in Raleigh at Dorothea Dix Park.<\/p>\n
