Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat World Announce Joint Summer Gods Tour

Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World are joining forces for a new summer tour, promoter Live Nation announced earlier. Their co-headlining Summer Gods Tour will bring the best-selling bands to nearly three dozen cities across the country.

The trek will kick off June 14 in Los Angeles and travel cross-country and back before wrapping August 3 in Irvine, California. In its six-week span, the Summer Gods Tour will hit a total of 35 U.S. cities. Notable stops include Denver, Cleveland, Seattle, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville and Detroit. Ra Ra Rio is slated to join the road in support.

In addition to supporting their upcoming EP, Third Eye Blind are using the Summer Gods Tour to promote green initiatives. Under frontman Stephan Jenkins, the band is teaming with organizations like ClimeCo, The American Land Conservancy and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to reduce carbon emissions. In order to combat carbon emissions produced by travel, a portion of each ticket sold will go towards the green initiative project. Their latest effort follows the band’s 2017 elimination of plastic water bottles while traveling.

The new tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of both bands’ formation. Throughout their careers, Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World have each scored successful No. 1 singles and sold millions of records with their global appeal to fans of pop, rock and alternative music.
