The Eagles Announce 2020 Hotel California Tour

One of the world’s best-selling albums is coming to you live in concert. The Eagles announced they will play their smash LP Hotel California in its entirety around the U.S. on their Hotel California Tour.

Their 20-date journey begins February 7 in Atlanta and runs through April with a closing gig in Los Angeles. The band will perform two-night stints in Houston, San Francisco, Denver and St. Paul. Meanwhile, Dallas, Atlanta, New York and LA are booked for three performances. Each show will consist of the ten tracks on their 1976 album as well as some of the band’s greatest hits. Backing the Rock Hall of Famers will be a 46-piece orchestra and 22-member choir.

As it’s been since 2017, the lineup will consist of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey. Henley, Walsh and Schmit are all longtime members behind the band’s classic recordings, while Gill and Frey – son of late founding member Glenn Frey – were invited to join the group for their Classic East and West performances in 2017.

A tour devoted to the success of Hotel California comes as no surprise after the rockers performed the album front-to-back in Las Vegas last month. Those experimental shows at the MGM Grand Garden Arena quickly sold out, as it marked the first time the album had ever been played in its entirety live. Hotel California currently stands as the third-best-selling U.S. album in history. The Eagles’ greatest hits album – also released in 1976 and ironically excluding signature song “Hotel California” – holds the top spot with more than 38 million copies sold.
