Super Bowl LIX Ticket Trends: Prices Fall, but Will They Stay Low?

The stage is set for Super Bowl LIX as the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. After clinching their Super Bowl spot with a victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship, the Chiefs now have the opportunity to accomplish something no team has ever done before—win three consecutive Super Bowls.

However, Super Bowl LIX tickets are noticeably lower when compared to last year’s Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, which saw the highest ticket prices in history. Tickets for that game in Las Vegas started at $7,919, making it one of the most expensive Super Bowls to attend. Compared to that, this year’s get-in price of $5,118 – which could continue to trend downward as the opening kickoff approaches.

“Based off of what we’re seeing in the Super Bowl ticket market this year, it seems likely that we won’t see the blockbuster prices that accompanied last year’s game in Vegas,” says Ticket Club spokesperson Sean Burns. “The Chiefs are chasing history, but their fans have had the “once in a lifetime” opportunity to see their team play for an NFL title very frequently in the last decade. And Eagles fans have also had three trips to the big game in the same span.”

How much are Super Bowl LIX Tickets Today?

Ticket prices have started to cool off slightly compared to Sunday night when the matchup was finalized. At that time, the lowest ticket prices were higher, with the cheapest 600 Level seats selling for $6,953, while the lowest available 100 Level seats were priced at $8,961.

The decrease in prices may present an opportunity for fans looking to score a last-minute deal. Currently, the get-in price is around  $5,118, the median price at $8,409, and the highest ticket price reaching $21,423.

Here’s a breakdown of the latest Ticket Club price data as of Thursday morning.

Will Prices Continue to Drop?

The fluctuation in Super Bowl ticket prices is a common trend. Typically, prices spike immediately after the teams are determined and then begin to decline in the days leading up to the game. However, since this year’s Super Bowl features a potential historic moment for the Chiefs, demand could remain high.
