An exciting month is ahead as summer concert tours begin to fill up venues across the country and championship series like the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals get underway. Check out our picks for the top June events below.
Stanley Cup Finals – May 28-June 10

Hockey fans could not have asked for a more intriguing Stanley Cup showdown. The series will culminate in the crowning of a first-time Stanley Cup champion in either the Washington Capitals or Vegas Golden Knights. League-wide excitement surrounds the Golden Knights, who are the first expansion team to reach the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season. They’ve generated buzz all season as a Western Conference favorite ready to make moves in the NHL. Despite being a perennial Eastern Conference powerhouse, the Capitals have always been denied a trip to the Finals, often by their rival Pittsburgh. 20 years since their last appearance, Washington is ready and hungry to hoist Lord Stanley’s cup with Captain Alex Ovechkin leading the way.
NBA Finals – May 31-June 17

Much like the its hockey counterpart, the final stretch of the NBA season promises a final for the ages. After the taking their respective conference finals a full seven games, Cleveland and Golden State roared into the NBA Finals once more, marking their fourth consecutive clash for the title. A tremendous performance by LeBron James led the Cavs over the Celtics to reach the finals, leaving the basketball world both mystified and curious to see if another Championship is in the cards for Cleveland. This rivalry will begin to write its next chapter in the history books when the NBA Finals begin May 31 in Oakland and continue through mid-June. This is one you won’t want to miss.
Maroon 5 Tour – May 30-ongoing

Coming off the heels of another season as a coach on The Voice, Adam Levine and company return to the road on their Red Pill Blues Tour, accompanied by rising singer-songwriter Julia Michaels. Maroon 5’s massive new tour will take them to nearly three dozen cities now through October, including Detroit, Tampa, Philadelphia and Toronto. Specifically in June, they’ll headline arenas in Oakland, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, and San Antonio.
Dead and Company Tour – May 30-ongoing

Since their formation in 2015, Dead and Company have been one of the most consistent – and successful – touring acts. Members John Mayer, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti celebrate the songs and legacy of the Grateful Dead with an energy that is anything but lifeless. For their summer outing, Dead and Company will headline 25 outdoor venues, including major stadiums and ballparks. On tap this month are shows in Cincinnati, Atlanta, Raleigh, Hartford and New York’s Citi Field among other gigs.
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill Tour – May 31-ongoing

Country music’s resident power couple are back for more. Their Soul2Soul World Tour resulted in over 70 sold out shows when it launched last year, which led the pair to return with nearly 30 more shows this summer. The new tour leg begins in Richmond, Virginia on May 31 and extends through June and July. McGraw & Hill will headline major markets like Baltimore, Grand Rapids, Raleigh and Des Moines this month among other cities. The couple will perform hits from their remarkable solo careers as well as songs off their 2017 joint album The Rest of Our Life.
Kesha & Macklemore Tour – June 6-ongoing

Pop force Kesha and rapper Macklemore unite for their Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore summer tour. It’s been a whirlwind year for both artists. Each released new albums to critical and commercial success (Rainbow for her, Gemini for him) and celebrated major milestones as Kesha received her first-ever Grammy nominations for Rainbow and hit single “Praying,” while Macklemore became a father for the second time this spring. The pair first teamed up nearly a year ago on his track “Good Old Days” and will now join forces once more when their co-headlining tour kicks off June 6 in Phoenix. They’ll play over 30 additional cities across North America throughout the summer before concluding in Tampa on August 5.
Sam Smith Tour – June 18-ongoing

Soulful British crooner Sam Smith returns to lay his heart on his sleeve for audiences across North America on his massive new tour to support sophomore album The Thrill Of It All. Smith will launch the three-month trek June 18 in Toronto and later travel to cities like New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Salt Lake City and Seattle through September. Having been called the “male Adele,” Smith is known to captivate crowds using his powerful voice to tell stories of heartbreak and vulnerability through song, as evidenced by hit singles “Stay With Me,” “I’m Not the Only One,” and “Too Good at Goodbyes.”
