Rod Stewart has rolled out nearly two dozen tour dates for the summer, bringing along fellow legacy rockers Cheap Trick for the run.
It all kicks off July 21 at Ohio’s Blossom Music Center and will stretch through early September with a concluding show in Chicago. A total of 21 dates make up the trek, including stops in Atlantic City, Nashville, Fort Worth, Cincinnati, and Tampa.
In addition to his latest tour, the Rock Hall of Famer will continue his ongoing Las Vegas residency. Stewart is scheduled to headline more shows at Caesars Palace Colosseum in March and again in September following his summer run.
News of the tour comes days after the singer was charged with simple battery for his involvement in a New Year’s Eve altercation in Florida. Stewart and his son Sean were arrested after punching a hotel security guard who denied the family entrance into a private event. They are both due in court next month.
Now 74, Stewart has recently released his 30th album You’re in My Heart, a collaborative project with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The record features orchestral reworkings of Stewart’s biggest hits, including “Maggie May,” “Forever Young,” “Sailing” and “Rhythm of My Heart.”
