Paul McCartney Adds Four Stadium Gigs to ‘Freshen Up’ Tour

Paul McCartney is going big for his U.S. Freshen Up Tour and adding a handful of stadium shows to his itinerary.

The legendary musician announced that he will play shows at famed ballparks Dodger Stadium, Globe Life Park, and Petco Park next summer, as well as his first-ever gig at Lambeau Field – the lone NFL stadium visit of the tour. McCartney will kick off the trek on May 23 in New Orleans and travel to arenas across the Southeastern U.S. before making his way across the Midwest and wrapping up with his July 13 show at Dodger Stadium.

A total of 12 dates make up the U.S. leg of the Freshen Up Tour, which comes in support of the singer-songwriter’s latest album Egypt Station. The record debuted atop the Billboard albums chart in September, marking the first time McCartney had accomplished such a feat in 36 years. His first major performance following the release of Egypt Station came in October when he headlined the Austin City Limits Festival to widespread acclaim.

McCartney is currently performing across the U.K. and Europe through the end of the year and is slated to take the early part of 2019 off before resuming his touring schedule in the U.S.
