Mariah Carey announced eight additional shows to her Las Vegas residency, “Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi,” scheduled for early 2025.
The announcement comes as Carey prepares to return to the Dolby Live at Park MGM on July 26 for the next run of her critically acclaimed residency.
“Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi” initially launched in April 2024 and was scheduled for eight shows. However, due to “extraordinary demand,” it was expanded twice. It also marked the singer’s first performance at Park MGM. The additional 2025 performances are set to begin on January 31 and run through February 15.
The residency celebrates the 20th anniversary of Carey’s 10th album, The Emancipation of Mimi and included performances of songs throughout her career. Fans of the singer can expect to hear singles from her debut 1990 album and songs such as “Dreamlover,” “Hero,” “Say Somethin’,” “Heartbreaker,” “We Belong Together,” and “Fly Like a Bird.”
In addition to celebrating The Emancipation of Mimi, Carey released an expanded edition of her Rainbow album in June in honor of its 25th anniversary. The Pride Month gift included new remixes of hits like “Heartbreaker” and “Thank God I Found You,” as well as a new song, “Rainbow’s End.”
“The Celebration of Mimi” follows Carey’s initial residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, “#1 to Infinity,” which ran from 2015 to 2017 and “The Butterfly Returns,” which took place from 2018 to 2020.
The previously announced performances include shows on July 26, 27, and 31 and August 2, 3, 7, 9, and 10.
