Less than three weeks after announcing her residency-style Madame X Tour, Madonna has added several new dates to her itinerary. Overwhelming demand caused the singer to extend the trek by nearly two dozen dates across seven cities.
The Madame X Tour was originally slated to kick off with 12 shows at New York’s BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, beginning September 12. Madonna will now perform an additional five nights in the Big Apple before moving to Chicago for six nights – two of which are new dates. The Queen of Pop has also extended her time in Los Angeles at the Wiltern by two shows for a total of 11 performances at the venue.
The singer’s initial tour announcement promised that she would perform in Boston, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Miami, though official dates were not revealed until now. A trio of shows are on deck each in Philly, Boston and Las Vegas, while the North American leg will close out with five gigs in Miami this December.
Madonna will bring the Madame X Tour overseas following her U.S. run, with shows promised in Paris, London and her current city of residence, Lisbon.
The Madame X Tour comes in support of Madonna’s fourteenth album, Madame X. It is due out June 14 and features collaborations with Maluma, Quavo, Swae Lee and Anitta.
