Legendary southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd aren’t ready to say goodbye just yet. On Monday, they added over 20 dates to their ongoing Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour.
The new stretch of shows will run from May through September, with the opening and closing gigs taking place in none other than sweet home Alabama. Notable stops along the way include shows in New Orleans, Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Denver.
Shortly before their new outing, the band will perform at Stagecoach Festival as one of their final hurrahs. They revealed plans for a massive farewell tour last year, and have since performed over 40 shows in support. A myriad of special guests have joined the rockers on select shows, including Hank Williams Jr., Kid Rock, the Marshall Tucker Band, Blackberry Smoke, 38 Special and Charlie Daniels Band.
Lynyrd Skynyrd have cultivated an unmatched 50-year career that cements their status as one of music’s all-time greatest acts. Their accolades include induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have seen hits like “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Free Bird” become some of the best-selling rock songs of the 20th century.
