Lionel Richie Announces Summer Tour Dates, New Live Album

Lionel Richie he has a new tour and album on the way. The singer announced his North American Hello Tour, which comes in support of his forthcoming live album dubbed Live From Las Vegas

The Hello Tour will launch May 28 in Sugar Land, Texas and extend through August 30 when Richie will wrap up the trek in St. Paul, Minnesota. Along the way, he’ll visit 28 cities, including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Toronto and Detroit. Richie has also booked a handful of back-to-back gigs in select cities, including a two-night stint at Radio City Music Hall in July. A number of festival appearances also make up Richie’s summer itinerary, particularly Milwaukee’s Summerfest and Chattanooga’s Riverbend Festival.

For each Hello Tour ticket purchased, fans will receive a copy of Richie’s Live From Las Vegas LP, due out August 23. The album will feature the biggest hits spanning Richie’s 50-year career – from the Commodores’ “Brick House” and “Easy” to his signature solo songs like “Dancing On The Ceiling” and “All Night Long.” The album was recorded during Richie’s All The Hits Las Vegas residency show at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater.

While the singer-songwriter is now approaching 70, he certainly hasn’t slowed down with age. Richie previously embarked on the co-headlining All The Hits Tour with Mariah Carey in 2017 and wrapped up his two-year Las Vegas residency in October 2018. He is currently filming his second season as a judge on American Idol alongside Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.
