Dead and Company announce 2018 tour dates

The dead live on! Dead and Company have announced a 2018 tour, set to kick off later this May and extend through mid-July. The Grateful Dead-offspring band will play 24 shows on the upcoming trek, invading major U.S. cities like Atlanta, Cincinnati, Albuquerque, and Raleigh. While the itinerary details a majority of shows will be held at amphitheaters, Dead and Company will continue the trend from their previous summer tour and perform at major ballparks on select dates. Among the most notable venues are Dodger Stadium, Autzen Stadium, and New York’s Citi Field. The final stop on the trek is Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo. where the band will perform a two-night closing stint.

Since the band’s formation in 2015, they’ve become one of the top acts to see on the road. Longtime Grateful Dead fans are treated to performances of the Dead’s most beloved tracks from their expansive catalog, with a lineup featuring original members Mickey Hart, Bob Weir, and Bill Kreutzmann along with John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, and Oteil Burbridge.

Their upcoming jaunt marks four consecutive years of touring, with each trek growing in size by popular demand.
