Dead and Company Unveil 2019 Summer Tour Dates

Dead and Company are gearing up for another tour, which is set to kick off next summer, promoter Live Nation announced today.

The jaunt will get underway May 31 in Mountain View, California and stretch through July 6, wrapping up with a two-night gig at Colorado’s Folsom Field. A dozen other cities make up the 19-date itinerary, including Charlotte, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Dallas. The band will invade a range of venues, with notable stops including the Hollywood Bowl, Wrigley Field, and a lone NFL stadium gig at Gillette Stadium.

Dead and Company have been consistently touring since their formation in 2015. As one of the Grateful Dead’s many offspring bands, Dead and Company came to life at the hands of former members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir. They recruited Grammy winner John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge and Ratdog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti to complete the super group. They have proved not only to be a commercial success but have garnered widespread critical acclaim for keeping the enduring legacy of the Grateful Dead alive.

Despite their short existence and having never recorded material of their own, Dead and Company has been one of the most successful touring acts of the decade. 2019 will mark their sixth tour together and appears on par to give the band more record-breaking shows after they set an all-time attendance record at Wrigley Field in 2017.
