Dave Matthews Band have officially unveiled their upcoming tour dates and confirmed that a new album is on the way later this summer.
The rockers made the announcement today that they’ll hit the road on a nearly 50-date tour with their ninth studio album in tow as well. They remained hush on the project’s official name or release date, though fans will agree new music has been a long time coming for DMB, who’s latest release Away From the World came out in 2012.
Their upcoming trek gets underway May 18 in Woodlands, Texas and heads to 35 additional cities before wrapping up September 10 in Los Angeles. The hitmakers will make stops in Cincinnati, Austin, Chicago, Tampa, Milwaukee, and Raleigh among other cities. A pair of July shows in Toronto and Ottawa mark the lone Canadian gigs on the itinerary.
The tour announcement follows the news that Matthews and Tim Reynolds would perform an intimate show January 28 at New York City’s Irving Plaza to coincide with the 60th annual Grammy Awards, which return to New York for the first time in 15 years.
