The Coachella 2020 lineup is officially here. After reports surfaced claiming that Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine and Travis Scott would headline Coachella’s latest edition, the festival has now confirmed those performances and dozens more.
Rage Against the Machine previously headlined Coachella in 2007 and confirmed their 2020 gig upon announcing several reunion shows, including back-to-back weekends in Indio, California. They will kick things off with the Friday night headlining duties on April 10 and 17. Ocean and Scott – both of whom are past performers but first-time headliners – round out the festival’s top billing. Scott will take over the Empire Polo Field stage on Saturday while Ocean concludes the weekend bash on Sunday.
Indie-pop giant Lana Del Rey will continue to support her acclaimed fifth album Norman F—ing Rockwell! when she returns to the Coachella stage. The Grammy winner’s most recent project is her spoken word album White Hot Forever. Del Rey has described the collection of poetry focused on Native American culture as her “own reparative act.”
Other acts making up the Coachella 2020 lineup include Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and EDM stars Calvin Harris and Flume. Newcomers Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby will appear as well. Big Sean, Lewis Capaldi, 21 Savage, Ari Lennox and Lil Uzi Vert are among the dozens on the docket.
One act you won’t see in April? Newly-reunited My Chemical Romance. The emo titans came together for a stand alone show in December after disbanding in 2013. They announced a handful of international music festival appearances, leading many to believe Coachella was a possibility. However, the band is noticeably absent from the lineup.
