The Kansas City Chiefs are comfortably leading the AFC West with seven weeks left in the regular season. But as another feather in their cap, they are the league’s best-selling team. The Chiefs have dominated 2019 NFL ticket sales thus far. Should they keep up the momentum, they will end the regular season as the NFL’s best-seller for the second consecutive year.
Kansas City ended the 2018 regular season as the league’s top seller, according to Ticket Club sales data. They dethroned the Dallas Cowboys, who consistently dominated NFL ticket sales since 2012, though Week 1 is often their best-seller. With the season just past the halfway point, the Chiefs are not only topping the Cowboys once again, but they’ve surpassed their total sales figure from last season.
Despite their power standings in the AFC, the bulk of the Chiefs 2019 ticket sales is attributed to local fans. Their home games are responsible for nearly 85 percent of overall season sales. That number is an impressive jump from the 78 percent of sales attributed to home games last season, and could climb even higher with three more Arrowhead Stadium battles left on the schedule.
NFL Ticket Sales By Team
The Chiefs topped the NFL both in terms of overall ticket sales, and their own home game sales. Dallas and Green Bay trail KC closely in both categories. Meanwhile, Jacksonville and Tampa Bay claim the bottom two slots on both lists. But other teams are much more scattered this season. The Ravens are ranked No. 7 in overall sales, but their weak showing in Baltimore brings their home sales ranking to a mere 27. On the other hand, Detroit locals have made Lions home game sales No. 9 among all NFL teams. However, their overall sales don’t reflect the same strength at a ranking of 21. See how each team compares in the breakdown below.

2019 NFL Ticket Sales by Conference
With the Cowboys, Patriots, Ravens, Texans and Steelers joining the Chiefs in the top 10 for overall sales, it’s no surprise that AFC teams have outsold their NFC rivals so far. AFC squads dominate the league’s 2019 sales, claiming 58 percent compared to the NFC’s 42 percent.

However, there is still over a month left in the regular season and a shift in trends can’t be ruled out. Conference sales have typically finished just about even, with the AFC pulling ahead slightly last season in an otherwise 50-50 split. In 2017, the NFC earned the edge, though the final ratio came to 51 to 49 percent.
