Cher Plots 2019 Here We Go Again Tour

Mamma Mia, here she goes again! Ahead of the release of her widely-anticipated ABBA cover album, Cher has unveiled subsequent dates for her Here We Go Again Tour.

The tour will get underway January 17 in Fort Myers and run through Valentine’s Day before Cher takes a brief hiatus. It will resume mid-April for another month of dates before concluding in St. Paul May 18. Thirty cities make up the tour itinerary, including Chicago, New York, Orlando, St. Louis and Detroit. Back-to-back shows in Toronto and Ottawa mark the lone Canadian gigs on the trek. It will mark her first proper tour since 2013.

Fans were left to wonder if a tour was in the cards for Cher after she confirmed she was working on a new album exclusively filled with ABBA covers earlier this summer while promoting her role in Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. The cover project, titled Dancing Queen, is due September 28 and will feature Cher’s take on some of the Swedish power group’s biggest hits, including “SOS,” “Fernando,” “Waterloo,” and “Mamma Mia” as well as the title track.

It’s been a whirlwind past few months for Cher, who’s legendary career continues to pick up success every which way. Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again was a summer blockbuster that grossed over $350 million at the box office world wide and marked Cher’s first appearance on the big screen in eight years. The Cher Show, a new jukebox musical chronicling her life and career made its debut in Chicago earlier this year and is expected to premier on Broadway this December. Shortly after production’s Broadway debut, Cher will be bestowed the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor to fully cement her legacy within American art and pop culture.

She also regularly performs in Las Vegas as part of her Classic Cher residency show at the Park Theater.
