NBA All-Star Game Tickets Trending Toward Record High
The teams are picked, setting the stage for the 2019 NBA All Star Game, which tips off in just over a week on February 17 at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center. Team LeBron will take on Team Giannis, with loaded lineups expected to put up some offensive fireworks as always. Check out current NBA All Star Game ticket prices here at Ticket Club and grab yours today.
Due to the restrictive nature of how fans can access tickets to the game, most have to turn to the secondary market if they want to check out the scene – and this year is shaping up to be a pricey night on the town. Through Thursday, the average price of a single ticket is $2,113 on TicketClub.com – and presumably far more on other marketplaces once you tack on all their fees. That average is well above the historical trends, a full 27% over the next highest average price we’ve seen in recent years. Continue reading “NBA All-Star Game Tickets Trending Toward Record High”
AFC Championship Ticket Trend: Great Deals Available for Sunday
As the final hours tick off the clock before the AFC Championship at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday, the market has been reacting all week to whether or not the weather is going to be miserable or REALLY miserable in Kansas City. AFC Championship tickets are always a hot commodity, but fans in KC are looking at a potentially great deal.
In the weeks since the Chiefs clinched the homefield advantage for the AFC playoffs, fans have scooped tickets in large quantities for Sunday’s game. Prices were averaging well above $400, but have taken a serious tumble in the past week with news that the game might feature record cold for the fans in Missouri. In terms of daily average, tickets went as low as $258 Thursday before bumping back up to $268 thus far on Friday. In just a few days, the overall ticket price sold average has dropped to $344.
Prices have fallen across the board, with tickets in the upper level available for as low as $238 for Ticket Club members on Friday afternoon. A prime seat in the lower midfield can be had for $646. It’s in the club level, where fans have a little more respite from the cold, where prices have remained high. A seat in the corner of the club level is available for as low as $869, while seats on the sideline are listed at $1,361 and up for the game. That club level sideline is also where the most expensive listed ticket on our marketplace resides, going for a hefty $4,619.
This game, which follows the Chiefs first playoff win at home in a generation last week, is the highest average price in our data for Arrowhead field, which makes sense, given the team has not hosted a game this deep into the playoffs…. ever. Their last AFL championship game – prior to their only Super Bowl victory in 1970 – was an away game in Oakland. It’s more than double the previous high average – set less than a week ago when the Chiefs played Indianapolis in the divisional round.
Sunday is shaping to be one of the most affordable AFC championship games in recent memory, coming in at No. 7 among the previous ten games, according to our sales data. It’s less than half the price paid on average for last year’s Jacksonville at New England game, which went at $750. Only the 2010-2012 games in Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Baltimore went at a lower average than this game currently carries going into the weekend.
Overall, the forecast not quite as forbidding as it was earlier in the week. Right now, google tells us it should be mostly cloudy with temperatures as high as 32, but mostly in the 20s. That means that fans willing to layer up to catch their team are up for a pretty decent price, especially if they buy from us at Ticket Club. Eliminating the service fees as a member, you can score an even better deal. Shop AFC Championship tickets today.
