Bob Dylan adds fall North American tour dates

Bob Dylan’s “Never Ending Tour” is nearly 30 years and 3,000 shows deep, and the singer just keeps it going. Dylan has announced a 21-date North American tour this fall beginning October 13 in Valley Center, CA.

The upcoming U.S. trek marks Dylan’s third tour leg of 2017, as he began his touring schedule with a 28-date spring European jaunt and another 30 shows weaving through the U.S. and Canada (including a stop at Delaware’s Firefly Music Festival) that wrapped up in July. Dylan is slated to perform two-night stints in Salt Lake City and Philadelphia only with one-night-only performances in all other cities.

The latest installment of the Never Ending Tour is in support of Dylan’s three-disc album Triplicate, released in March and the 38th LP from his remarkable career. The collection is entirely songs plucked from the Great American Songbook, and each given a creative new spin thanks to Dylan’s signature raspy, folk sound.

Dylan enters the fall tour not only as a Nobel Prize laureate—he made history last October as the first songwriter to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature—but also with press surrounding new documentary Trouble No More, which is set to premiere at the New York Film Festival in the coming weeks.
