As summer inches closer, baseball season continues to heat up. To bring even more fans into the ballparks this month, teams are handing out a wide variety of promotional items and freebies that everyone in attendance will love. Check out some of the best June MLB giveaways ahead.
What Dad wouldn’t love to take in a ball game on Father’s Day? Sunday, June 17 presents the perfect opportunity to celebrate Dad, with many parks handing out special gifts to all fathers in attendance. The Orioles organization is treating fathers to a free neck tie, whereas the Royals and Mariners are handing out barbecue accessories for those grill-master Dads.
June also ushers in the last day of school for kids, and several ballparks are ready to help them prep for summer vacation. Pick up a pool float at Marlins Ballpark on June 30, a beach towel at Dodgers Stadium on the 13th, and a boogie board at the Rays-Mariners game on the 10th.
Of course typical ballpark freebies like team tee shirts and player bobbleheads are to be expected throughout the month. You’ll find these at Citi Field, where the Mets have three Free Shirt Friday giveaways ahead of them. Free shirts are also available at three White Sox games. In Boston, the Red Sox are handing out not one, but two bobblehead figures this month. Fans can snatch up miniature figures of Red Sox star players Andrew Benintendi (June 6) and Jackie Bradley, Jr. (June 27).
Other notable giveaways this month are a set of Mariners-themed pajama bottoms when the Rays visit Seattle, signature wall decals at various Reds games, and a Marvel Comics super hero poster for kids at the Astros-Royals game on June 24. Minneapolis locals can celebrate what would have been Prince’s 60th birthday on June 8. Fans in attendance watching the Twins take on the Angels will receive an inflatable version of the purple guitar the iconic musician was known for. Two years since his unexpected death, Prince continues to be celebrated and remembered, particularly throughout his home state of Minnesota.
