All Time Low Continue Cross-Country Trek With Dashboard Confessional

After a massive tour in support of their 2017 album, All Time Low has decided not to call it quits just yet; the band announced the dates for the first leg of their co-headlining Summer Ever After tour with Dashboard Confessional.

This was a surprise to most, since the second part of Last Young Renegade Tour just wrapped up at the end of April, but honestly, it’s not that shocking, since the boys are known for touring non-stop. The pop-punkers released the dates this morning via Twitter, announcing the first part of the trek with rock band Dashboard Confessional as their co-headlining partners, who will alternate closing each show. Special guest Gnash is the opening act.

“This could be the end of an era…or a new beginning…or some kind of endless summer,” the band stated. “We haven’t totally figured it out yet, but what we do know is that we ain’t finished rippin’ gigs for you this year!!”

Before the Summer Ever After Tour begins, the band will make a few stops on the final run of the Vans Warped Tour, making three appearances in California. Additionally, they will perform at this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois. The tour is set to kick-off in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 3 and will run throughout the month, wrapping up on August 26 in Ashbury Park, New Jersey. Although these are the only dates released so far, there are more to be announced, since the tour poster notes the tour as “Leg One.”

All Time Low hasn’t backed down in the music scene; year after year, they produce more music for their fans, putting forth more advanced and musically powerful records each time. After garnering attention from starting albums Put Up Or Shut Up and So Wrong, It’s Right, they released their third full-length LP Nothing Personal, which offered hits “Weightless,” “Lost In Stereo,” and “Therapy,” – a staple song in their portfolio. Dirty Work, Don’t Panic, and Future Hearts all followed within the next six years.

In 2017, Last Young Renegade dropped, and although it still contained the classic fast-beat choruses and hard-hitting bass like their previous work, this record showed growth and maturity. With songs like “Dirty Laundry,” “Good Times,” and “Nightmares,” the band shows another emotional and vulnerable side to their party-driven lives in the lyrics. The album ends with three hits that frontman Alex Gaskarth says are his favorite songs they’ve written to date: “Dark Side Of Your Room,” “Ground Control,” and “Afterglow.”

Dashboard Confessional will be touring in support of their latest record – which was released nine years after their previous full-length LP. Altler the Ending, released in 2009, seemed to be the end for the band, but the extended hiatus ended in 2017 when the band released an EP of cover songs and then this year, emerged with Crooked Shadows.
