Aerosmith are ready to rock the Las Vegas strip! In an appearance on The Today Show Wednesday morning, the legendary band announced they are gearing up for their first-ever Vegas residency show “Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild.”
Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and company will take over the Park Theater at Las Vegas’ Park MGM resort beginning in April 2019, with intermittent shows stretching into July. The show promises to be unlike anything Aerosmith has ever done before, with teasers of never-before-seen footage of the band’s recording sessions over the years. They’ve enlisted renowned producer and Las Vegas entertainment guru Giles Martin to be at the helm of the production.

Longtime fans of the band are in for a treat, as Aerosmith’s performances have been few and far between recently. After publicly debating the idea of doing a farewell tour, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers brought the tour to light with brief stints across Europe and Latin America last summer. However, final tour dates on the stretch had to be cancelled, with Tyler citing “unexpected medical issues” as the reason behind the abrupt halt. They came together once more to perform as part of The Today Show‘s summer concert series where they dropped their Las Vegas bombshell.
The exciting announcement of the Deuces Are Wild show continues to add star power to the Park Theater’s itinerary of shows. Aerosmith will now join Queen with Adam Lambert and Cher as the venue’s rotating list of headliners. Grammy winner Lady Gaga also joins the theater’s incredible lineup, with her upcoming residency show slated to begin this December.
