John Mayer Plots North American Summer Tour

John Mayer has a busy summer ahead. The singer-songwriter has revealed his latest batch of North American tour dates, set to keep him on the road for two months.

The stretch of shows will kick off July 19 in Albany and conclude in Los Angeles on September 14 after a cross-country trek. A total of 27 dates make up the itinerary, including stops in Philadelphia, Nashville, Milwaukee, Houston, St. Louis, Chicago, Phoenix and San Diego. Mayer will make a lone Canadian stop in Toronto on July 30. He has also notched two-night stints at both Madison Square Garden and The Forum in Los Angeles.

Mayer will headline major arenas this time around as opposed to his usual amphitheater summer stops. Instead, he’ll get his fix of outdoor concerts on his latest tour with Dead and Company. That outing will bring Mayer and bandmates Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge to venues like Wrigley Field, Gillette Stadium, the Hollywood Bowl and more. The anticipated trek, set to run May 31 to July 6, marks Dead and Company’s fourth consecutive summer tour.

It’s unknown if Mayer will release any new music before the jaunt kicks off. His latest single “New Light” dropped last spring as a stand-alone hit and follow-up to 2017 album The Search for Everything. Whether or not the Grammy winner has new material up his sleeve, fans can expect his upcoming shows to feature two sets, giving them plenty of opportunity to hear Mayer’s biggest songs.
