Get ready to be transported to Margaritaville, because Jimmy Buffett is hitting the road once again. The island music king has unveiled a string of upcoming dates on his Son of a Son of a Sailor Tour.
Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band will visit ten U.S. cities throughout the spring and summer months before wrapping up the trek overseas. He’ll kick things off March 3 in Boise and later headline venues in Sacramento, Dallas and Orange Beach, among others. Buffett’s concluding U.S. show is set for August 10 in Mansfield, Massachusetts. He has a total of four shows scheduled in the U.K. and Europe come late September, stopping in Dublin, London and Paris.
The tour launched in May 2018 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Buffett’s Top 10 album Son of a Son of a Sailor. The LP went platinum and saw its title track go on to be one of Buffett’s most beloved songs. Over 20 shows made up the tour’s 2018 itinerary, including a stop at Chicago’s historic Wrigley Field.
There is no word yet on whether additional tour dates will be announced or if Parrotheads can expect Buffett to possibly join other artists on the road. While in the midst of his solo tour last summer, he famously shared the stage with The Eagles for select shows on their wildly popular tour.
