Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour is set to kick off in Chicago tonight, but fans worldwide have reason to celebrate. Is it cool that I said all that? The ‘Delicate’ pop sensation announced on Friday that the tour will be making its way to Mexico and several South American cities this year, with the promise of additional international dates to be announced soon. These shows are unlike anything you’ve seen, including full on three hour, pouring rain shows.
For fans in Mexico, Taylor Swift will be performing three shows at Foro Sol in Mexico City from August 24 to 26. Prior to that, she will be thrilling audiences in North America with five consecutive nights at the iconic SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, at the beginning of August. Swifties in Argentina and Brazil can also look forward to her performances in November. She will take the stage at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires on November 9 and 10, followed by a show at Estadio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro on November 18. Her South American tour will conclude with two shows at Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo on November 25 and 26.

will be joining us on all of the shows! Visit taylorswift.com/tour for more information on your registrations, pre-sales and on-sales. LOTS more international dates to come soon, promise!
Fans attending these shows will also have the opportunity to enjoy the incredible talent of Sabrina Carpenter, who will be supporting Taylor Swift as the opening act for all eight dates. Carpenter is known best from “High School Musical The Show,” and the plot point of Olivia Rodrigo’s hit single, “Drivers License.”
While the excitement surrounding the tour is palpable, the ticket sales process has not been without its controversies. Swift’s initial sales process for the fall 2022 Eras Tour dates was plagued by system meltdowns on Ticketmaster, leading to the cancellation of any public general ticket sale. This resulted in lawsuits and significant stress for fans hoping to secure tickets. As the shows approached, Ticketmaster released small batches of held-back tickets, causing a frenzy among fans on social media. Resale prices soared, despite unsold inventory remaining until the last moment before the singer took the stage.
Even now, just hours before the Eras Tour show at Soldier Field, tickets are still unavailable for less than $850 on platforms like Ticket Club. Saturday’s show has a starting price of nearly $1,000. The high demand and limited availability have fueled the ticket resale market, making it challenging for many fans to attend the concert at an affordable price.
For fans eager to purchase tickets for the Mexico shows, registration for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system is mandatory. The initial sales period is set to begin on June 7, and details for the South American dates are expected to be announced soon. Swift’s official tour page on her website will provide further information as it becomes available.
Despite the ticketing challenges, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour promises to be a remarkable experience for fans across North and South America. As the countdown to the opening show in Chicago begins, anticipation is building, and fans are ready to witness the magic and talent that Taylor Swift consistently delivers on stage
