Shania Twain has finally returned to music after a 15 year hiatus to a warm welcome with open arms.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Canadian singer gave a high-energy, nostalgic performance at Stagecoach Festival this weekend, delighting the audience with her most memorable hits and giving them a taste of her new music as well. Twain debuted the song “Life’s About to Get Good” during her headlining set. The\u00a0toe-tapping tune is a bit of a departure from her twangy country sound that dominated charts in the 90s, but nevertheless a breezy and enjoyable song for longtime Twain fans and casual listeners alike. It is slated to hit radio waves next month as the lead single off her highly-anticipated upcoming album, due out in September.<\/p>\n
Twain, who is the best-selling female artist in country music, has put her career on the backburner since her last album Up!<\/em> was released in 2002 to focus on her family. Fans had wondered if and when she would make a comeback after her absence on radio waves allowed for younger country starlets like Miranda Lambert<\/a>, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini<\/a> to take the reins on the genre for a new generation. Ballerini even joined Twain on stage for a surprise performance of Twain’s smash hit “Any Man of Mine,” which topped charts in 1996 when Ballerini was just three years old.<\/p>\n What a night!!
