With a whopping 84 awards up for grabs and performances that promise to be memorable, music&#8217;s biggest night is sure to be bursting with excitement. Let&#8217;s break down the potential winners in some of the Grammy&#8217;s biggest categories. <!--more--><\/p>\n<h4>Album of the Year<\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: <em>25<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Adele&amp;pid=27546\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adele<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: <em>A Sailor&#8217;s Guide to the Earth<\/em> &#8211; Sturgill Simpson<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-4275 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/12\/giphy4.gif\" alt=\"giphy\" width=\"403\" height=\"242\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Album of the Year is one of Adele&#8217;s five nominations at this year&#8217;s awards, and she is hoping to have a sweep of them. Her third studio effort 25 was the best-selling album of 2015 and her second consecutive to be Diamond-certified with over 10 million copies sold in the U.S. alone. She is a favorite to win this category again, though will have stiff competition from fellow nominees <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Justin+Bieber&amp;pid=37842\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Justin Bieber<\/a> (<em>Purpose<\/em>), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Drake&amp;pid=34352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drake<\/a> (<em>Views<\/em>), and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Beyonce&amp;pid=113\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beyonce<\/a> (<em>Lemonade<\/em>).<\/p>\n<h4>Record of the Year<\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: &#8220;Hello&#8221; &#8211; Adele<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: &#8220;Formation&#8221; &#8211; Beyonce<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5154 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/giphy4.gif\" alt=\"giphy\" width=\"500\" height=\"185\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Five years ago, Adele won this very award for &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rYEDA3JcQqw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rolling in the Deep<\/a>,&#8221; and we wouldn&#8217;t be surprised to see her on stage accepting Record of the Year once again for &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YQHsXMglC9A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hello<\/a>.&#8221; Chosen based on overall production, instrumental and vocal performance, Record of the Year most often goes to songs with overwhelming commercial success, which would make &#8220;Formation&#8221; a surprise winner. The Beyonce single is the only of the five nominated songs to not crack the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at no. 10. &#8220;Hello,&#8221; Lukas Graham&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LHCob76kigA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">7 Years<\/a>,&#8221; and Rihanna&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HL1UzIK-flA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Work<\/a>&#8221; each topped the chart while Twenty One Pilots&#8217; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pXRviuL6vMY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stressed Out<\/a>&#8221; peaked at the second spot.<\/p>\n<h4>Song of the Year<\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: &#8220;7 Years&#8221; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Lukas+Graham&amp;pid=76982\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lukas Graham<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=foE1mO2yM04\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I Took a Pill in Ibiza<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; Mike Posner<\/p>\n<p>This Grammy, which goes to a song&#8217;s writers, should recognize the team behind Lukas Graham&#8217;s breakout hit &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LHCob76kigA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">7 Years<\/a>,&#8221; as it is a poignant reflection on growing up and left a powerful impact on listeners. Mike Posner is hoping for a major win, but has an uphill battle to climb going up against Beyonce&#8217;s &#8220;Formation,&#8221; Adele&#8217;s &#8220;Hello,&#8221; and Justin Bieber&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oyEuk8j8imI\">Love Yourself<\/a>,&#8221; which was co-written by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Ed+Sheeran&amp;pid=46871\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ed Sheeran<\/a>, who took home this award last year for &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lp-EO5I60KA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thinking Out Loud<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4>Best New Artist<\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: Maren Morris<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse:\u00a0The Chainsmokers<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5157 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/source.gif\" alt=\"source.gif\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Country newcomer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Maren+Morris&amp;pid=73994\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maren Morris<\/a> seems most likely to be named Best New Artist, which Meghan Trainor was crowned last year. She goes up against fellow country artist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Kelsea+Ballerini&amp;pid=67941\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kelsea Ballerini<\/a>, Top 40 hit makers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=The+Chainsmokers&amp;pid=62236\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Chainsmokers<\/a>, and rap\/hip-hop artists Chance the Rapper and Anderson .Paak. Although DJ duo the Chainsmokers had tremendous breakout success with hit after hit (&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FyASdjZE0R0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roses<\/a>,&#8221; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Io0fBr1XBUA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Don&#8217;t Let Me Down<\/a>,&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PT2_F-1esPk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Closer<\/a>,&#8221; to name a few), it seems a little too radical for the Grammys to recognize EDM DJs as the year&#8217;s Best New Artist. Should Morris or Ballerini win, they would become the third female country artist to win the Best New Artist Grammy, following Leanne Rimes and Carrie Underwood.<\/p>\n<h4>Best Pop Vocal Album<\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: <em>25<\/em> &#8211; Adele<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: <em>This is Acting<\/em> &#8211; Sia<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5166 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/giphy6.gif\" alt=\"giphy.gif\" width=\"480\" height=\"178\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Compared to other nominees <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Justin+Bieber&amp;pid=37842\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Justin Bieber<\/a> (<em>Purpose<\/em>), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Ariana+Grande&amp;pid=52148\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ariana Grande<\/a> (<em>Dangerous Woman<\/em>), and Demi Lovato (<em>Confident<\/em>), Adele&#8217;s work on 25 is much stronger, although each were commercially successful in their own right. However, she could be given a run for her money from Sia, who \u00a0earned her first no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her single &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nYh-n7EOtMA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cheap Thrills<\/a>&#8221; this year.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Best Pop Solo Performance<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner:\u00a0&#8220;Hello&#8221; &#8211; Adele<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse:\u00a0&#8220;Piece by Piece (Idol Version)&#8221; &#8211; Kelly Clarkson<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5148 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/giphy2.gif\" alt=\"giphy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another tough field, but Adele seems like the top artist to beat here over Beyonce (&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PeonBmeFR8o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hold Up<\/a>&#8220;), Justin Bieber (&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oyEuk8j8imI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Love Yourself<\/a>&#8220;), and Ariana Grande (&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9WbCfHutDSE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dangerous Woman<\/a>&#8220;). \u00a0However, original <em>American Idol<\/em> winner Kelly Clarkson could give her some competition with her moving piano rendition of \u00a0&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9FHYBQxURQo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Piece by Piece<\/a>&#8221; while performing on the show&#8217;s final season.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Best Pop Duo\/Group Performance<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: &#8220;7 Years&#8221; &#8211; Lukas Graham<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: &#8220;Stressed Out&#8221; &#8211; Twenty One Pilots<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5151 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/giphy3.gif\" alt=\"giphy\" width=\"520\" height=\"306\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Each of the nominated songs in this field&#8211;&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0zGcUoRlhmw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Closer<\/a>,&#8221; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nYh-n7EOtMA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cheap Thrills<\/a>,&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HL1UzIK-flA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Work<\/a>&#8221; along with the aforementioned tracks&#8211;reached either no. 1 or 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, making this an extremely close category to call. Given our prediction that &#8220;7 Years&#8221; will be named Song of the Year, we are giving Lukas Graham the edge again here.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Best Rock Performance<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: &#8220;Blackstar&#8221; &#8211; David Bowie<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UprcpdwuwCg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heathens<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; Twenty One Pilots<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-4960 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/giphy.gif\" alt=\"giphy\" width=\"365\" height=\"274\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For the late David Bowie, a posthumous Grammy would be fitting for &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kszLwBaC4Sw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackstar<\/a>,&#8221; off his swan song album of the same name. Should the Grammy voters opt against Bowie, however, it seems like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Twenty+One+Pilots&amp;pid=43914\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twenty One Pilots<\/a>&#8216; &#8220;Heathens&#8221; is the next best contender. Other nominees include Alabama Shakes (&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=p0KSE5kywJg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe<\/a>&#8220;), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/tickets\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Disturbed&amp;pid=316\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disturbed<\/a> (&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=u9Dg-g7t2l4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Sound of Silence<\/a>&#8220;), and in a surprising twist, Beyonce with Jack White for &#8220;Don&#8217;t Hurt Yourself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Best Rap\/Sung Performance<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: &#8220;Freedom&#8221; &#8211; Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: &#8220;Broccoli&#8221; &#8211; D.R.A.M. featuring Lil Yachty<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5160 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/source1.gif\" alt=\"source.gif\" width=\"500\" height=\"184\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With three of the night&#8217;s most nominated artists (Kanye West, Beyonce, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Drake&amp;pid=34352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drake<\/a>) competing in the same category, it&#8217;s nearly impossible to predict which one will come out on top. If forced to choose, we&#8217;d give an edge to Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar for &#8220;Freedom,&#8221; as it added to <em>Lemonade<\/em>&#8216;s political prowess and was named one of the best musical collaborations of the year.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Best Rap Album<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: <em>Coloring Book<\/em> &#8211; Chance the Rapper<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: <em>Major Key<\/em> &#8211; DJ Khaled<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5162 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ticketclubsite.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/giphy5.gif\" alt=\"giphy\" width=\"480\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chance the Rapper&#8217;s <em>Coloring Book<\/em> has made history as the first streaming-only album to be nominated for a Grammy, and is poised to be victorious. It should be noted that Kanye West&#8217;s <em>The Life of Pablo<\/em> should not be dismissed, as West is one of the most decorated artists\/producers in Grammy history, with 21 total wins.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Best Country Solo Performance<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: &#8220;My Church&#8221; &#8211; Maren Morris<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=N2-yVryNjUM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Church Bells<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; Carrie Underwood<\/p>\n<p>As one of country&#8217;s best new talents, Maren Morris could grab this Grammy. She will have to beat out Underwood (who won this award in 2015), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Miranda+Lambert&amp;pid=4055\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Miranda Lambert<\/a> (&#8220;Vice&#8221;), and Brandy Clark (&#8220;Love Can Go to Hell&#8221;). Keith Urban is the only male among the group, nominated for &#8220;Blue Ain&#8217;t Your Color.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Best Country Duo\/Group Performance<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Likely winner: &#8220;Think of You&#8221; &#8211; Chris Young with Cassadee Pope<\/p>\n<p>Dark horse: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oYCoyUxY2HY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jolene<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; Pentatonix with Dolly Parton<\/p>\n<p>For an award strictly for the country genre, the nominees straddle the line of country and pop. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Dierks+Bentley&amp;pid=312\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dierks Bentley<\/a>&#8216;s collab with rocker Elle King, &#8220;Different for Girls,&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Kenny+Chesney&amp;pid=540\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kenny Chesney<\/a> and Pink&#8217;s &#8220;Setting the World on Fire,&#8221; and Dolly Parton&#8217;s chilling rendition of Jolene with a cappella group <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketclub.com\/ResultsEvent.aspx?event=Pentatonix&amp;pid=55258\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pentatonix<\/a> backing her up are all vying for the award.
