Water for Elephants<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

\u201cWater for Elephants,\u201d the Broadway adaptation of Sara Gruen\u2019s best-selling novel, will conclude its run at the Imperial Theatre on December 8. By closing night, the production will have delivered 301 regular performances and 25 previews, following its official opening on March 21, 2024, after previews began on February 24.<\/span><\/p>\n

Directed by Tony Award nominee Jessica Stone, the show brings to life Gruen\u2019s tale of love, resilience, and adventure set in a 1930s traveling circus. With a book by Rick Elice and music by PigPen Theatre Co., the cast includes Kyle Selig as Jacob, Isabelle McCalla as Marlena, Gregg Edelman as Mr. Jankowski, and Paul Alexander Nolan as August.<\/span><\/p>\n

While its Broadway chapter ends, Water for Elephants is scheduled to embark on a national tour in fall 2025, debuting at Baltimore\u2019s Hippodrome Theatre.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Notebook<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

The Broadway musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks\u2019 <\/span>The Notebook<\/span><\/i> will take its final bow at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on December 15. Since opening on March 14, following previews that began February 10, the production will have completed 35 previews and 317 regular performances.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a book by Bekah Brunstetter and music and lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson, the musical tells the enduring love story of Allie and Noah, whose romance withstands numerous challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fans will have another chance to experience \u201cThe Notebook” when it begins its\u00a0 North American tour in fall 2025, starting in September at Cleveland\u2019s Playhouse Square.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Roommate<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

Directed by Tony Award winner Jack O\u2019Brien, \u201cThe Roommate\u201d began previews at the Booth Theatre on August 29 and officially opened on September 12. The production is scheduled to run through December 15 at the same venue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mia Farrow stars as Sharon, a reserved character experiencing life with a roommate for the first time. Patti LuPone portrays Robyn, a free-spirited woman whose rebellious history disrupts Sharon\u2019s conservative way of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Roommate\u201d premiered at the Humana Festival of New American Plays in 2015 at Actors Theatre of Louisville and was later staged at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Back to the Future<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

\u201cBack to the Future: The Musical\u201d is set to conclude its Broadway run at the Winter Garden Theatre on January 5.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adapted from the 1985 film, the musical reimagines Marty McFly\u2019s journey from 1985 to 1955. With a book by Bob Gale and music by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, the production features original songs alongside classics like \u201cThe Power of Love\u201d and \u201cJohnny B. Goode.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite its Broadway closure, the musical continues its North American tour. Premiering at Manchester Opera House in March 2020, it debuted on London\u2019s West End in September 2021, winning an Olivier Award for Best New Musical. The Broadway production opened on August 3, 2023, earning two Tony nominations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suffs<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

The Broadway musical \u201cSuffs,\u201d written and performed by Shaina Taub, will take its final bow at the Music Box Theatre on January 5, 2025. By closing night, the production will have delivered 24 preview performances and 301 regular shows.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSuffs\u201d officially opened in April 2023 and earned acclaim for its powerful portrayal of the Women\u2019s Suffrage movement. Co-produced by Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai, the show features Tony Award winner Nikki M. James as Ida B. Wells and Tony nominee Jenn Colella as Carrie Chapman Catt, alongside a talented ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though its Broadway run is ending, the musical is preparing for a national tour, set to launch in fall 2025 at Seattle\u2019s 5th Avenue Theatre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
