Summer 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting season for pop-punk enthusiasts everywhere. Many of the biggest names of the genre are gearing up for headlining shows, as well as appearances at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ocean\u2019s Calling, and When We Were Young.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1. Avril Lavigne<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

Pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne is set to take the stage this summer across North America. Titled \u201cAvril Lavigne: The Greatest Hits Tour,\u201d fans can expect to see the singer perform her most popular songs including early 2000’s hits like <\/span>“What the Hell,” “Girlfriend,” and “Complicated.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The tour is slated to kick off on May 22 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena and make stops in various cities such as Inglewood, Buffalo, Hartford, Camden, Chicago, and Winnipeg before wrapping up on September 16 in Edmonton at Rogers Place.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Set to join the \u201cSk8er Boi\u201d singer on select dates are fellow pop-punk bands All Time Low, Royal & The Serpents, and Simple Plan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. blink-182<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

blink-182 is gearing up for their \u201cOne More Time\u201d tour, following their ninth studio album sharing the same name, which was released October 2023. The Vic Fuentes-fronted “King For A Day” singers behind Pierce the Veil are expected to provide support on all dates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cOne More Time\u201d tour will begin on June 20 in Orlando at the Amway Center. From there, the \u201cWhat\u2019s My Age Again?\u201d singers will visit various cities, including Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Columbus before their final performance on August 15 in Toronto at Rogers Centre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The band is also slated to headline this year\u2019s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago this August, Ocean\u2019s Calling Festival in September, and the inaugural South Star Festival.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Green Day<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

The iconic punk trio Green Day is hitting the road for their world stadium tour across Europe\/UK and North America, set to begin on May 30 in Monte do Gozo, Spain at O Son do Camino.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The North American leg of their tour is set to begin on July 29 in Washington, D.C., at Nationals Park. From there, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool will head to cities such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, and Portland before their final show on September 28 at San Diego’s Petco Park.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining the band on stage are Smashing Pumpkins along with Rancid and The Linda Lindas on their North American run. The band is also set to headline the OSHEAGA Festival in August.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Smashing Pumpkins\u00a0<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

Before providing support for Green Day, the Billy Corgan-fronted Smashing Pumpkins are also getting ready for their own headlining tour. \u201cThe World is A Vampire Tour\u201d will include stops at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Kansas City\u2019s Starlight Theatre, and Maryland Heights\u2019 Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Special guests The Glorious Sons and PVRIS are set to provide support on select dates. The “1979” singers are also slated to perform at Montreal\u2019s OSHEAGA Festival on August 3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Foo Fighters<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

The Foo Fighters are gearing up for a busy spring and summer with their \u201cNothing or Everything at All\u201d stadium tour. Stops include back-to-back shows in New York\u00a0 at Citi Field, along with a performance at Boston’s Fenway Park and two-nights in Los Angeles at BMO Stadium. The “Everlong” group’s tour is set to conclude on August 18 in Seattle at T-Mobile Park.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Pretenders and The Hives will provide alternating support throughout the tour. The band is also slated to perform multiple festivals including this year\u2019s New Orleans Jazz Fest, Shaky Knees Music Festival, Hellfest, and Welcome to Rockville.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Taking Back Sunday\u00a0<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

Taking Back Sunday is hitting the road in support of their first album in seven years, <\/span>152<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 37-date tour is set to begin on May 19 at The Fillmore New Orleans. From there, the \u201cYou’re So Last Summer\u201d singer\u2019s will visit cities such as Dallas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Atlanta, Boston, and Philadelphia before their final performance on August 17 at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, Taking Back Sunday was added to the \u201cWhen We Were Young Festival\u201d lineup in October. The band is slated to perform Saturday, October 19 and Sunday October 20, where they will play their 2002 debut album, <\/span>Tell All Your Friends<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

7. All Time Low<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

In addition to providing support to Avril Lavigne on her tour, the pop-punkers of All Time Low are getting ready to celebrate 20-years of music with their North American \u201cForever\u201d tour, kicking off on May 17 in Nashville at Exit\/In. Fans can look forward to the group’s celebration of two decades worth of music, including “Dear Maria, Count Me In,” “Popping Champagne,” and “Remembering Sunday.”<\/span><\/p>\n

From there, the \u201cBackseat Serenade\u201d singers will make stops in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Morrison, Cleveland, Chicago, and back-to-back shows in Milwaukee at The Rave. Their final performance is scheduled for a hometown show on August 24 in Columbia, Maryland at Merriweather Post Pavilion.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. A Day to Remember<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

A Day to Remember is getting ready for their North American \u201cThe Least Anticipated Album Tour.\u201d The band is slated to perform at the Welcome To Rockville Festival on May 11 in Daytona Beach before making appearances at Hangout Fest and Sonic Temple.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From there, the \u201cIf It Means a Lot to You\u201d singers will visit cities such as Toronto, Atlantic City, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Chicago before their last headlining tour date on July 28 at Nashville Municipal Auditorium.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Day to Remember will also perform at the 10th anniversary of Four Chord Music Fest on June 22 and the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas in October.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Dashboard Confessional\u00a0<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

While they\u2019re not technically taking the stage this summer, pop-punk band Dashboard Confessional deserved a spot on our list. Known for early 2000s hits such as \u201cHands Down,\u201d and \u201cScreaming Infidelities,\u201d the band is gearing up for a 28-date tour this fall. Taylor Acorn is slated to open the show, with Boys Like Girls providing support.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The tour is expected to start on September 10 in Asbury Park at Stone Pony Summer Stage. From there, the band will make stops in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Phoenix before wrapping up on October 27 in Irving at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cVindicated\u201d singers are also scheduled to take the stage at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas where they will perform their 2007 album <\/span>Dusk and Summer<\/span><\/i> in its entirety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
