Singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson has unveiled dates for her latest headlining tour, dubbed The Dramatic Tour. <\/p>\n
Michaelson will hit the road beginning September 24 in Washington, DC and wrap a month later after 18 shows. She’ll visit major markets like Atlanta, San Francisco, Minneapolis and Seattle, as well as a two-night stint in New York to close out the trek.<\/p>\n
The tour comes in support of Michaelson’s upcoming album Stranger Songs<\/em>, due out June 28. The LP was largely inspired by Netflix’s hit original show Stranger Things, <\/em>with the songstress promising that every track will include references from the show.<\/p>\n “I’ve already made seven records, I have a lot to say. But I’ve said it so much from the brain and mind and soul of Ingrid Michaelson – I wanted to create something through a different lens,” she said of the album in a statement. “There’s something about Stranger Things<\/em> that’s really comforting, it brings me back to my childhood. It’s the best kind of escapism and I find myself seeking that now more than ever. I took inspiration from the show and the characters and all these ideas started to come to me.”<\/p>\n Michaelson dropped the record’s lead single “Missing You” earlier this month.
