The Stanley Cup Finals<\/a> are in full swing, with Game 4 of the series set to take place tonight in Washington, DC. Leading the series 2-1 over the Vegas Golden Knights, the Washington Capitals are hoping to grab their third straight victory tonight at home to put them only one game away from their first ever Stanley Cup win. The series has been one of the hottest sports tickets around with no plans to cool down as the series progresses. Here’s where current Stanley Cup ticket prices stand and how to save.<\/p>\n

All seven games of the Stanley Cup Finals have had a hefty price tag attached to the them since Vegas and Washington secured their place in the bracket<\/a>. According to Ticket Club data, minimum “get-in” prices to every game hovered around $1,000 as of May 25 – three days prior to the series’ kick-off. These base prices were largely more expensive on competitor resell sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats when taking into account service fees that are waived for Ticket Club Premier members. With the exception of a potential Game 7 decider in Las Vegas, buyers score the best deal through Ticket Club by a landslide. Before the series began, Game 4 in Washington saw the lowest base price across the board, listed at $823 on Ticket Club. Washington’s advantage has led get-in prices to spike over $400 from the early ticket listings. On the contrary, Thursday’s Game 5 has seen a massive drop as the series progressed. Originally priced at over $1,000 before the series began, patrons can now enter the rink at T-Mobile Arena for less than $700 as a Ticket Club member.<\/p>\n

Tonight’s Game 4 will serve as a true turning point in the historic series. Should Alex Ovechkin and the Caps rally to win at home, Washington has all the momentum to close out the final victory in Las Vegas. However, if the Golden Knights skate in fine form and level the series at two games apiece, they can wipe the slate clean of their shaky performances the past two games.<\/p>\n

Regardless of the outcome, this Stanley Cup Finals promises a spot in the history books. Both teams are in the hunt for their first-ever championship despite some stark differences. The Golden Knights have been the talk of the league all season as the expansion team that cruised to the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season. They earned the top position in the Western Conference after a 51-24 season, led by goalie Marc-Andre Fleury and center Jonathan Marchessault.<\/p>\n

The Caps, often denied of a Stanley Cup chance at the hands of conference rival Pittsburgh Penguins, are in their first Finals in 20 years. They hold some of the league’s top scorers in Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov, the perfect offensive power duo to balance Vegas’ defensive strengths.<\/p>\n
