It’s the end of an era. After two decades of moments that carved its unique spot in modern music culture, the 2018 Warped Tour, presented by Vans will be the the traveling festival’s last.<\/p>\n

Founder Kevin Lyman announced the farewell tour on the official Warped Tour site, adding that the decision came with “many mixed feelings.” Lyman noted that while the 24th annual summer staple will be its last cross-country venture, he plans on celebrating the tour’s 25th anniversary the following year.<\/p>\n

“I sit here reflecting on the tour’s incredible history, what the final run means for our community, and look forward to what’s to come as we commemorate the tour’s historic 25th anniversary in 2019,” Lyman wrote.<\/p>\n

Warped Tour began as a traveling alternative rock festival in 1995, and later morphed into a platform for rising punk, rock, rap and emo artists, serving as a launching pad for Fall Out Boy<\/a>, Paramore<\/a>, The Black Eyed Peas and even Katy Perry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For its final bash, the fest will head to 36 cities across the U.S. and Canada, beginning June 21 in Pamona, Calif. The tour’s finale will take place August 5 in West Palm Beach, Florida.<\/p>\n

Participating artists are yet to be announced, though Lyman assured the working lineup will be a diverse and passionate group.<\/p>\n
